It’s been a whirlwind of a week thanks to our fantastic Black Friday projector deals and Cyber Monday sales. We’re grateful to our clients for supporting a small online retailer like ProjectorScreen.com.
One way we show our thanks is to give back to charities on this Giving Tuesday. We’ve put together a collection of our favorite non profits in both the film world and STEM organizations to preserve our past and grow towards a brighter future (and not just with more lumens.)
Filmmaker For A Cause
Donate Here: https://fmfac.org/#donate
Filmmaker For A Cause uses the power of film to help other charities succeed by providing free film production and media services for other NGOs – giving them the essential tools they need to drive awareness and support for their missions.
They believe storytelling has the power to act as a multiplier of awareness, interest, & support for non-profits around the world. All filmmakers at Filmmaker For a Cause volunteer their time and talents so 100% of the money they raise goes directly to the production of their partner films.
On average every $1 spent producing a film for their partners, returns $5 in incremental fundraising for them. Giving to them is like multiplying your donation by 5.
The Film Foundation

While we at ProjectorScreen.com are a store that sells digital projectors, where would we be if we didn’t cherish our roots in the artistic medium that is film. That’s why we support the Film Foundation.
The Film Foundation supports the preservation and restoration of cinema, ensuring its survival for future generations. Founded by the legendary Martin Scorsese, this organization works in partnership with archives and studios, and has helped to restore over 900 films, which are made accessible to the public through programming at festivals, museums, and educational institutions around the world that otherwise might have been forever lost.

Independent voices are vital to our collective culture. From screenings and education series, to filmmaker labs, youth programs and international initiatives, Film Independent provides essential support for year-round programming. This fantastic organization supports the community of independent artists who embody diversity, innovation and uniqueness of vision.
Women In Film
Donate Here: https://womeninfilm.app.neoncrm.com/np/clients/womeninfilm/donation.jsp
Women In Film advocates for and advances the careers of women working in the television and movie industries. Their advocacy work ranges from research and integrated strategies for companies to improve their parity practices, to founding the only entertainment industry-focused help Line for survivors of sexual harassment.
By amplifying the voice of women in the industry we’re able to see a plethora of new ideas and innovations that would have otherwise been kept down.

As home theater geeks ourselves we felt a special affinity to this charity. Geeks Rule was established to eliminate racial, gender and socioeconomic gaps that exist in STEM through programming at underserved secondary schools. This organization has reached over 8,000 underserved students with content and programming that increase interest and proficiency in STEM. These deserving students could one day be the scientists and engineers who build the next generation of projectors and cinema screens.

Just like how we want to see more women in film we want to see the future innovations that can be brought by women in STEM. The goal of GirlStart is just that. Girlstart provides a year-round, intensive suite of STEM education programs for K-12 girls.
By giving to this charity you're making a difference in the lives of girls across our country and investing in their access to high quality STEM educations.

As the best place in New Jersey (and anywhere online) to buy projection equipment, we of course need to support the future scientists and engineers of New Jersey. One of our favorite charities to give to is JerseySTEM.
The goal of JerseySTEM is to provide free access to meaningful STEM education to underprivileged children and girls across New Jersey. Your generous donation will assist in providing programming to new students.
