Exciting news from Hisense. They just released the newest firmware update for the Hisense L9G transforming it into a Dolby Vision projector!

The Hisense TriChroma L9G Laser TV will receive the free Dolby Vision upgrade via an automatic firmware update starting on June 28th. This makes the Hisense L9G the only ultra short throw projector with Dolby Vision.

What Is Dolby Vision?

Dolby Vision is a premium entertainment experience that brings extraordinary color, contrast, brightness, and detail to the screen. In short, Dolby Vision is an HDR standard that uses dynamic metadata. The aim is to give you better visuals and improve the image quality. The main difference between Dolby Vision and HDR10 is the color depth and brightness the content and equipment is capable of achieving.

Dolby Vision And The Hisense L9G

The Hisense L9G already delivers one of the best visual experiences from a laser TV in terms of color reproduction, brightness, and contrast. Making the Hisense L9G an ultra short throw projector with Dolby Vision takes that experience to an even higher level. Now you can enjoy the most epic cinematic look and feel from your own home.

Hisense makes it easy to upgrade your your laser TV to Dolby Vision. All you need to do is power on your L9G, make sure it's connected to the internet and let it run the firmware update. Then when you watch any movie or other Dolby Vision content, your Hisense laser TV will play that content the way it was made to be seen. With epically vibrant colors and contrast.
