BenQ V7050i / V7000i Visuals

With an impressive 2500 Lumens, these laser TV projectors are designed for watching TV, movies, sports and more in a well-lit environment like your living room or den. The V7050i features a solid 0.252 throw ratio so it sits directly under the screen.

The BenQ ultra short throw projectors provide 4K UHD resolution with HDR-PRO technology supported by HDR10/HLG.

They feature dynamic tone mapping, to ensure that image contrast and brightness levels are optimized on the fly such that shadowy areas hold their details without overexposing the highlights.

The V7000i / V7050i boast an impressive 8.4 million pixels and 1.3 times more color volume than other laser TVs in the same class, making up 98% of the DCI-P3 wide color gamut.

It features a .47” DLP chip for crisp clear viewing.

Movie lovers will be happy to hear that these BenQ USTs include UHD Alliance’s Filmmaker Mode so films are projected without additional processing, meaning the viewer sees them exactly as the director intended the scene to look.

BenQ V7050i / V7000i Audio

The V7000i and V7050i also feature built- in treVolo-tuned 5Wx2 virtual surround stereo speakers with a tweeter and a woofer on each side of the projector housing. Not the most powerful sound system but luckily owners with external sound systems can simply connect to the V7000i / V7050i via dual HDMI 2.0b and SPDIF ports.

BenQ V7050i / V7000i Connectivity

With regards to the HDMI cables we would have preferred to see at least 3 HDMI ports on the unit, particularly for those interested in gaming on the BenQ V7000i or V7050i.

One of the awesome features of this ultra short throw from BenQ is that it includes Google Android TV which offers you an extensive selection of apps that are easy to browse and find through an intuitive interface. This allows you to watch your favorite movies, TV shows, games and sports with ease.

BenQ V7050i / V7000i Aesthetics

From an aesthetic point of view we’re thrilled to see BenQ’s ultra short throw projectors available in both black and white chasses, giving consumers the color choice they prefer. Black units are especially good for UST projection because they reflect less light back at the bottom of the screen.

We’re not a huge fan of the boxy shape of the projector but it does feature an automatically retractable “sunroof” lens cover to protect your device from dust.
