Hisense L9Q Pro Triple Laser 4K Ultra Short Throw Projector - 5500 ANSI Lumen UST

The Hisense L9Q Pro is a premium 4K ultra-short-throw TriChroma laser projector designed to produce a large-screen home theater image from a very short distance. Its RGB triple-laser light engine uses separate red, green, and blue lasers and delivers up to 5,500 ANSI lumens, making brightness one of the L9Q Pro's standout specifications. It supports projection sizes from 80 to 200 inches with a 0.18:1 throw ratio.

Picture performance centers around 4K resolution and a 0.47-inch DMD chipset. Hisense specifies 118% BT.2020 color volume, 1.07 billion colors, and contrast of up to 6,000:1 with IRIS. The projector includes a 7-level IRIS system with two presets to help improve black levels and shadow detail. HDR support includes Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10, and HLG, while IMAX Enhanced and Filmmaker Mode are also supported.

The L9Q Pro also adds ±5% vertical lens shift, with Hisense stating that its lens-shift system works with intelligent cameras for precise automatic alignment without sacrificing 4K image quality. The projector supports Active 3D and includes Auto Screen Fit with camera correction.

Audio is unusually substantial for a projector. The L9Q Pro incorporates 10 built-in speakers with up to 116 watts of output, sound calibration by Opéra de Paris | Devialet, and support for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. Hisense describes the speaker system as being designed to direct sound toward the viewer for a more immersive, theater-like presentation.

For streaming, it runs Google TV with access to the Google Play Store and major streaming services. Smart-home features include Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa compatibility, Control4 compatibility, Apple Home, Chromecast, and AirPlay 2. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, Ethernet, two HDMI 2.1 inputs with ALLM, two HDMI 2.0 inputs, eARC, USB-A, USB-C, optical digital audio, and a built-in TV tuner.

The RGB triple-laser system is rated for 25,000+ hours of operation. The projector itself measures 24.6 × 12.5 × 6.5 inches (L × D × H) and weighs 28.4 lbs. Hisense provides a 2-year limited warranty.
