Great projector. The brightness is impressive. Only problem is it does not read flash drives and hard drives.

(Review from

Amazing projector, amazing value for money

The N1 ultra is impressively bright and sharp with very low fan noise.

Out of the box, the colours are pleasing, vibrant and saturated. However the saturation is a little too much and I hope that will improve with future firmware.

Brightness in particular is excellent with the projector able to throw a pleasing image of 2.4 meters width at 60% brightness. This thing is an absolute light canon.

Contrast is clearly higher than most DLP LED projectors, and I would put it at around 1000-1500:1 native. Ultrashort throw laser projectors still have the upper hand at about 3000:1 contrast.

The audio quality is above average for a projector of its size.

Apps run smoothly and the gimbal correction that creates a squared image at any surface is both fast and accurate.

The Wi-Fi connection was stable and the supplied remote maintains connection even some distance away from the projector.

Overall, I was very satisfied with this projector.
(Review from

Best projector I have ever used or seen...hands down!

review-star review-star review-star review-star review-star

For years I have been a fan of the Epson UB series of projectors and have owned the 5030, 5040 and 5050UB. For those familiar with projector understand that the UB series are the gold standard when it comes to contrast and black levels but at a premium price. They are still bulb technology but Epson has addressed that issue with laser versions at a much more substantial price. I auditioned the LS11000 and wasn't blown away...

Along comes the JMGO N1 Ultra...I had seen their UST 01 Pro and read reviews but I wasn't looking to replace my current Epson 5050UB with an UST so I was patiently waiting for a 'normal' long throw projector to peak my interest. The N1 seemed to fit the bill. After waiting months for this projector to be released I finally had one in my hands and was ready to give it a try.

The first thing was the unboxing and even something as simple as an unboxing was promising. The box was sealed within another box to keep the projector safe during shipping which was great to see. Within that box was the JMGO internal packaging which consists of a travel case that you can use should you be bringing your N1 with you to a friend or neighbors which is throw away styrofoam packaging that ends up in recycling...see attached picture.

Once I had it opened and all parts accounted for including the remote, power brick and cable as well as a few documents as well. So far so good!

I proceeded downstairs to hook up my N1 for the first time with fingers crossed hoping I have finally found my new projector.

I had recently tried but unfortunately returned the BenQ GP500 and 3000i, the Dangbei Mars Pro, the Hisense PX1-PRO (UST that I was hoping I could make it work for me but alas) the Xgimi Horizon 4k and a few others.

Once I set the N1 on the shelf on my back wall I turned it on. I was expecting to manually adjust the 'fit to screen' but was shocked by how quickly the fit to screen adjusted my image to my exact screen size. I then followed the general set up steps such as wifi address and password etc.

I was greeted with a message that I needed to update the software which is always encouraging (then afterwards a remote update notification as well).

I then went into Android TV 11 which to be honest was a bit buggy at first but eventually settled down and was impressed immediately by the brightness, color pop and amazing edge to edge focus... absolutely zero blur anywhere and 3ven on the outside edges...again, best I have ever seen.

I started with a few 4k HDR videos and I have never been fully satisfied with HDR on the 5050UB or any of the other projectors I had previously tried. Again, WOW, was all I could say. Amazing. I did try the well known horse scene video that I am sure everyone knows which I am talking about and the background was a little blown out but you could still see the trees etc even if it was a little light (probably my only disappointment with this projector.

As per the attached screen shots you can see this projectors images are beyond mind blowing and the N1 has taken its place in my 'best projector I have ever owned or seen' spot.

There is some rainbows if you are prone to that but not an issue for me and not enough to mark it as a negative on any means.

Let's talk it there, yes it is. Is it overly noticeable or bothersome, again, not at all. I have a 138' DIY screen made from Flexi White material from Carl's Place and the speckle is almost never visible. Marketing would say that it is gone but it is is the best I have seen.

The last two things I will talk about is sound and black levels and overall picture.

I never thought of sound being important to a projector, it's a projector, all I should care about is its picture. I will be running it through my receiver so what does it matter. It matters! The N1's sound is also fantastic, really nothing short of amazing considering the size of the chassis (which by the way is hefty and very, very well built) and the bass that it produces will shock you. I have watched more material through the units speakers than running it through my receiver as of late just base on the sound performance.

Lastly, I cannot say more about the picture...this projector has an uncanny manner of producing the inkiest blacks I have ever seen on a DLP projector and it is right up there with my old 5050UB without question.

The color that this projector produces is absolutely insane. I was watching a particular any person movie and was literally amazed by the colors I was seeing in this movie. Solidifying the marketing of the 110% of the BT.2020 color space...simply incredible.

Overall, without question, this is the most impressive projector I have ever owned or seen and I have owned projectors all the way back to the 80's with the Sony CPJ200 so I do have over 30 years of owning projectors. It is not even close and I can't wait until I get to see this when adding an HD FURY for Dolby Vision...oh my.

We bought this to upgrade our ceiling mount monitor and it is just fantastic. Even with all of the room lights on the picture is bright and crisp. I love the 4K graphics! Our 110 inch screen has never been so enjoyable.

I have an 85' Samsung QLED that I rarely watch anymore. The N1 Ultra is incredible. I can watch a game in 120' in the living room, carry the N1 to the bedroom, and watch in 90', all in about 2 minutes. The picture is stunning. 3D works well. The sound is surprisingly good from such a small platform. The stand is extremely well made. The carrying case means I can take it on the road with ease. Highly recommend.
(Review from
