<p>I've had this projector for about 6 months now and while it produces a decent image, it is not without its problems:</p><p>1) Blacks levels are mediocre at best.</p><p>2) in a ceiling mount configuration, it produces considerable light leak from the lens that contaminates the ceiling with light streaks. I had to 3D print a shield to fit on the front of the lens to fix this.</p><p>3) The HDR algorithm is poor and produces very murky dark areas in the HDR image.</p><p>4) If you use the Iris to help reduce black levels, it biases the image toward blue. The more you close it, the worse it gets.</p><p>5) It almost feels like LG has already abandoned this product as there has not been a software update since release and it clearly needs one.<br><br>-Customer Review From LG.com</p>
This has been a truly fun campaign! The picture is clear and crisp. And the colors are vibrant! I was genuinely surprised and pleased. My previous projector was not worth the investment. The picture was blurry. The sound was not great and it was difficult to put together. I was completely turned off! So this was the final try for my household with the idea of getting a projector. Then I was slightly thrown off by the size of it. It was larger than I had expected. I had to find a new place to house it. However once I found a place for it and was able to watch a music video! I was blown away! I can not explain the richness of the experience. Movie night will not be the same here anymore. I look forward to "movie premieres" and football games at home. The cinema quality of my viewing experience can not be compared. I wish I was able to take the experience outside how it does need an external power source. Pre-installed on this projector are a fully authorized Netflix app, as well as Prime Video, Disney+, YouTube, and AppleTV. This convenience is unmatched! Bought this for our new dedicated home theater, and I’m so glad we decided to go with the HU710PW. Mounting/setting it up is super easy with the lens shift. The extensive picture settings make dialing in a great picture pretty easy; I just looked at some projector review websites and started from their calibration settings then fine tuned it. It’s an amazing picture. We have an LG OLED TV, and while the picture isn’t the same quality, we didn’t expect it to be, and it’s still incredible and a very immersive experience. LG magic remotes are great (even though I use apps on the phone to control the receiver and NVIDIA shield I have attached so I don’t use it). All in all, from all the projectors I looked at through extensive research before making this purchase, I can’t imagine I would have gotten a better projector for the price I paid for this one. The projector arrived after a delay shipment of couple of weeks. It is carefully packed.Took us an hour to setup everything. The setup is simple and was easy to mount and calibrate using the tool provided in the projector. The remote works like a mouse. How cool is that.The quality of the picture is really good. Great to watch movies on home theater.Our family loved watching the movie on the projector. Was a good buy for fair price.The only concern I have with this projector is the app store doesn't have any useful apps.I was searching for Hulu or ESPN and I couldn't find them. We absolutely love the cinebeam projector. We decided to put it in our family room so that everyone could enjoy it and it has not disappointed! It’s a very high performing projector. It has a night and day difference from optima hd26. The picture quality is superb. It has great detail and lasts longer than our previous projector. The colors are true and bright and vivid. It’s definitely better than most televisions. It’s a little on the pricey side but worth every penny. Only negative is it does not comes with the mounting bracket.-Customer Review From LG.com
