Anti-Resonance Technology Wedge

The newly designed Anti-Resonance Technology (A.R.T.) Wedge is a fifth foot in the front-and-center of the chassis unit base. It dampens much more vibrations from the power transformer, power transistors and heat sinks, as well as vibrations that might be caused by the sound from the speakers — providing dynamic sound and focused, accurate reproduction.

Newly Designed Mechanical Structure

The highly logical and symmetrical internal layout of parts and totally renewed circuit boards are designed to keep the signal paths on each board as short as possible. The new H-cross frame improves rigidity of the receiver body and sound stability, allowing for clearer, sharper and more transparent reproduction. Also the newly redesigned mechanical structure contributes to avoiding the transition of vibration from the transformer to the amplifier circuit. Sound noises are reduced to improve clarity.

HDR (high dynamic range) video provides incredible contrast, smooth tone and rich, bright colors—giving you full, high-definition enjoyment with an exceptionally realistic and natural picture quality.

HDR10+ greatly improves dynamic range (the ratio of light to dark) of video content on a scene-by-scene (or even frame-by-frame) basis. Also, using frame-by-frame metadata, it improves the scene characteristics between bright and dark so that important detail can remain. This enables displays to reproduce images more realistically, adhering to the creator's intent.

100 ICLCR5 2-way ceiling speaker

100 ICLCR5 is a compact, high-performance in-ceiling speaker. Combined with conventional or wall-mounted speakers, it is the perfect complement to a home theater installation (dedicated room, living room...). It is also ideal for large rooms with no rear wall to the listening point.

POLYGLASS MEMBRANE Well-defined mids The diaphragm, the key component of a loudspeaker, is at the heart of our acoustic engineers' research. Polyglass technology, exclusive to Focal, consists of applying fine glass microbeads to a cellulose pulp cone. This process reconciles the excellent damping of paper with the rigidity of glass. The stiffness index is almost 10 times that of polypropylene. Adjusting the mass-rigidity-damping ratio results in a remarkably linear frequency response curve, right from the membrane design stage. This innovation also significantly increases definition in the midrange register.

INVERTED DOME TWEETER Optimum space dispersion The inverted dome tweeter has been a Focal signature since 1981, offering the property of being a true micro-speaker. The curvature of the dome is much less pronounced than that of positive domes. This results in better space dispersion and very low directionality, unlike ribbon tweeters. The inverted dome tweeter therefore generates unrivalled dynamics, enabling sound engineers to precisely control the dosage of compression. The precision of the image (height, width and depth) is remarkable, making it easy to position each instrument. What's more, a waveguide has been developed to perfect spatialization and further enhance the inverted dome's very low directionality. In the horizontal plane, the frequency response is within +/- 0.5 dB. This performance guarantees an incredibly stable soundstage.

100 ICW6 2-way coaxial speaker

The big sister of the 100 ICW5, the 100 ICW6 features a 16.5 cm driver. The speaker can be flush-mounted in walls and ceilings, and offers perfect sound diffusion for stereo use (bedroom, kitchen...) or home cinema configuration (living room, dedicated installation). It combines acoustic technologies, discreet design and functionality for listening pleasure.

BALANCED SOUND DIFFUSION The loudspeaker features a compact, directional tweeter and a Polyglass diaphragm driver for defined, spatial highs and mids. A crossover reduces the sound's "shower effect". In addition, the treble level can be equalized according to the acoustics of your room, via a choice of three available positions.
	RESISTANCE The "tropicalization" of the Polyglass membrane enables 100 Series products to adapt to humid environments such as bathrooms.
