Overview

The Envy Extreme MK3 delivers the ultimate video processing for the most demanding videophiles in home theaters, and multi-purpose spaces—whether paired with high-end projectors or large video walls. This powerhouse redefines what’s possible with 4K HDR, featuring unrivaled dynamic tone mapping, non-linear stretch to eliminate black bars on both 16:9 and scope screens, and seamless aspect ratio switching. Subtitles stay perfectly placed, while every frame is elevated with best-in-class AI upscaling, advanced sharpening, and stunning detail enhancement.

Pushing performance even further, MotionAI introduces the world’s first motion interpolation you’ll actually want to use—delivering breathtaking clarity without the dreaded Soap Opera Effect. And with powerful Geometry Correction, Envy fits the image perfectly to any screen, including curved surfaces and setups using an anamorphic lens. Don’t settle—discover how the Envy Extreme can transform your theater experience. Why compromise?

Advanced madVR Envy Video Processing

Experience industry-leading HDR processing, intelligent aspect-ratio control, advanced AI upscaling and professional-grade calibration.

HDR Dynamic Tone Mapping

madVR Labs pioneered dynamic, frame-by-frame HDR Dynamic Tone Mapping—and redefined it with patent-pending DTM 2.0. It analyzes every frame and optimizes each pixel, processing more than half a billion pixels per second at 4K60. Proprietary Highlight Recovery, Contrast Recovery and Shadow Detail Recovery deliver cinematic HDR with exceptional detail, depth and impact.

Auto Aspect Ratio and Black-Bar Control

Envy automatically detects every aspect ratio, even when it changes during a movie, and instantly adjusts the image to fit scope screens, 16:9 projectors, televisions and video walls. Advanced Non-Linear Stretch reduces or removes black bars while maintaining a natural image for movies, sports, concerts and more.

4K AI Upscaling and Sharpening

Proprietary machine-learning algorithms deliver exceptional AI-based 4K upscaling, revealing greater clarity and fine detail. Envy also provides premium chroma upscaling from 4:2:0 to 4:4:4 and can detect and reverse inferior chroma processing applied earlier in the signal chain before applying its own high-quality processing. Selected models support output up to 8K60 and 4K120 over HDMI 2.1.

Highly Accurate Calibration

Envy enables ultra-precise calibration with massive 256-point 3D LUTs and 4,096-point 1D LUTs without sacrificing measurement data or precision. This provides up to 16.7 million points of accuracy and seamless integration with professional calibration platforms including ColourSpace, Calman and others.

MotionAI and Image Enhancements

Envy Extreme features MotionAI, an advanced motion-interpolation system designed to improve motion clarity while allowing precise control over the cinematic presentation. Additional image-enhancement tools can reduce film grain, sharpen edges, remove ringing and fine-tune the image. Geometry Correction also helps align the projected image accurately with the screen.

Keeps Subtitles on the Screen

Envy’s intelligent subtitle management dynamically resizes the image only when necessary, ensuring subtitles remain fully visible on scope screens and televisions. When subtitles are not present, Envy preserves the largest possible image for a more immersive viewing experience.
