The award-winning madVR Envy Extreme MK2 brings the pinnacle of video
processing technology to dedicated home theaters. As the flagship
model, the Envy Extreme MK2 is powered by the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080
SUPER GPU and uses patent-pending algorithms to deliver an
industry-reference standard in 4K HDR dynamic tone mapping and a suite
of unrivaled features.
These capabilities include instant aspect-ratio handling, advanced
subtitle management, next-generation non-linear stretch for scope and
16:9 screens, stunning 5K and 8K upscaling, support for 8K60 and 4K120
output, specialized sharpening and detail enhancement, and support for
1D and 3D LUT calibration.
The Extreme MK2 also features the Glacier X2 cooling system, premium
components including ECC RAM, IP-based control-system support,
geometry control, a five-year warranty, paid hardware-upgrade
eligibility, and MotionAI—the world’s first AI-based motion
interpolation available in a dedicated video processor. MotionAI allows
precise control over motion smoothing while preserving the desired
cinematic presentation.
MotionAI is the first AI-based motion-interpolation technology offered
in a standalone video processor. It delivers exceptional improvements
in image clarity, stability, detail and motion smoothness for a more
immersive viewing experience.
Unlike conventional motion-interpolation systems that can compromise
the original cinematic appearance, MotionAI gives you detailed control
over motion handling so you can balance smoother movement with the
director’s intended presentation.
madVR Labs pioneered dynamic, frame-by-frame HDR tone mapping.
Patent-pending DTM 2.0 analyzes every frame in real time to optimize
every pixel—processing approximately half a billion pixels per second
at 4K60.
Proprietary Highlight Recovery, Contrast Recovery and Shadow Detail
Recovery help reveal brilliant highlights, deep contrast and fine
shadow detail, allowing HDR movies and shows to be enjoyed with
exceptional impact and accuracy.
Envy detects all aspect ratios and instantly adjusts the image to fit
your screen, even when the aspect ratio changes during the movie.
Patent-pending NLS+ combines vertical compression with horizontal
expansion, allowing content to fill the screen while producing a more
natural-looking result than conventional horizontal-only stretch
systems.
The Envy Extreme supports 8K HDMI 2.1 output with full 48 Gbps bandwidth
and HDCP 2.3 support. Its modern hardware platform and ongoing software
updates help protect your investment for years to come.
Advanced AI processing can upscale sources to 4K, 5K and even 8K,
delivering exceptional clarity and detail on premium displays.
Envy supports massive 256-point 3D LUTs and 4,096-point 1D LUTs without
sacrificing measurement data or precision. This translates to up to
16.7 million points of accuracy, compared with fewer than 5,000 points
available from many other processors.
Envy integrates with leading professional calibration platforms,
including ColourSpace, Calman and others.
Envy uses high-quality processing algorithms to reduce compression
artifacts, mosquito noise and 8-bit banding. Additional controls can
remove or add film grain, sharpen edges, reduce ringing and improve
perceived detail.
Envy also manages subtitles automatically, helping ensure they remain
visible on the screen and do not appear over masking or outside the
projected image.
Your projector lens can remain in the same position regardless of the
movie’s aspect ratio, thanks to Envy’s instant aspect-ratio handling.
This works even when the aspect ratio changes within the same movie.
The projector is zoomed to fill the screen for scope content.
Envy still fits 16:9 content perfectly without changing the lens zoom.
Envy can fit content of virtually any aspect ratio to fill nearly any
screen format, reducing or eliminating black bars. NLS+ combines
horizontal expansion and vertical compression to distribute the stretch
more naturally and increase the sense of immersion.
Without Envy: The original 16:9 image displays with black bars.
With Envy: The image fills the screen for a more immersive
presentation.
Without Envy, scope movies may need to be displayed with large black bars
to keep subtitles visible. When the image is zoomed to fill a scope
screen, subtitles may otherwise appear outside the screen area.
Without Envy: The movie must be displayed at a smaller size to keep
subtitles visible.
When the image is zoomed, subtitles may appear outside the screen.
When subtitles are not present, Envy allows the image to fill the entire
screen. When subtitles appear, Envy automatically introduces only the
minimum amount of image resizing required to keep them visible.
With Envy: Enjoy a full-screen image when no subtitles are present.
Envy creates room for subtitles only when they appear, maximizing
image size and immersion.
