Kanta Center perfectly complements the line's bookshelf and floorstanding speakers. The extreme definition of its drivers and its tonal balance make it a formidable piece of equipment for Home Cinema applications. It can also be combined with in-ceiling speakers for a 360° cinema experience. Sound immersion guaranteed! This Focal center channel speaker is available in High Gloss Black, Matte Black, Matte Grey, Matte White, High Gloss White, Walnut/Ivory, Walnut/Taupe, Walnut/Dark Grey and Walnut/Black.

BALANCE AND RICHNESS OF SOUND

The loudspeakers feature a Flax membrane, made from French flax fiber. A Focal innovation, this patented membrane delivers a very natural, uncolored sound, with rich reproduction in the midrange. Clarity of sound and intelligibility of dialogue will surprise moviegoers. Neutrality at the service of emotions and sensations.

An optional matte-black aluminum speaker stand (height adjustable from 42.4 to 45 cm) is available for the Kanta Center center speaker. It attaches to the base and is easily installed under a screen in a horizontal position, on the front or rear sides.

TECHNOLOGIES

TMD SUSPENSION

Stabilized surround, eliminates vibrations

While our engineers are experts in the development of exclusive diaphragms, they also innovate in all the components that make up the loudspeakers, such as the surround that connects the diaphragm to the frame, the performance of which must be mastered. Introduced in 2015, Tuned Mass Damper (TMD) technology with harmonic damping consists of the addition of finely positioned toroidal weights to stabilize the surround for even greater sonic neutrality. This technology enhances the midrange and the erratic behavior of the surround between 1 kHz and 2 kHz.

BéRYLLIUM TWEETER

For exceptional treble

Membrane shape and materials are essential for high-fidelity reproduction. For exceptional treble, our engineers have developed the Béryllium inverted dome tweeter in pure Beryllium. Thanks to its unrivalled rigidity, Beryllium is the material of choice for high-frequency loudspeakers. Developed and patented by Focal, the pure Beryllium inverted dome is capable of covering more than five octaves (1,000 - 40,000 Hz) for perfect perception of micro-details.

FLAX MEMBRANE

Purity and precision of sound

As the key component of a loudspeaker, the membrane is at the heart of our acoustic engineers' research. After more than five years of research and development, in 2013 Focal unveiled an exclusive membrane made from flax. Patented, this Flax cone is a sandwich made of very high quality French flax Fiber placed between two thin sheets of glass Fiber. It satisfies all the criteria of a high-fidelity membrane: lightness to offer good dynamics, rigidity to hold the bass and damping to deliver a neutral, natural, uncolored sound. It is an emblematic Focal innovation in many hi-fi products.
