UST Beauty Pageant Contestants

Welcome to the 2023 ultra short throw beauty pageant where we will be taking a close look at the aesthetic design of the chassis of some of the most popular ultra short throw projectors in the market.

This is why we assembled a group of interior designers to evaluate and rank the ultra short throws based on their beauty and style.

What Is An Ultra Short Throw Projector?

Ultra short throw projectors, also known as laser TVs, are a type of projector that use a special lens that allows them to project a larger and brighter image just inches from the screen. Ultra short throw projectors typically produce higher lumen levels, which make them well-suited for use in rooms with lots of ambient light, such as living rooms. They feature advanced laser light sources, which provide higher brightness and more vibrant colors, even in brightly lit environments.

This type of projector is becoming increasingly popular due to their convenience, versatility, and ability to create an immersive viewing experience in a variety of settings. They allow owners to turn any room in their house into a home theater.

Why Aesthetics Matter For UST Projectors?

Unlike traditional home theater projectors that are placed in the back of a darkened room, UST projectors sit directly under the screen and are made for well lit rooms. The aesthetics of a projector that are made for home cinema usage isn’t that important because when the lights are out, the way the projector itself looks doesn’t matter.

But with ultra short throw projectors, they’re front and center on display in a highly used room, so matching the style of the space with a luxurious and pleasing aesthetic design becomes essential.

Ultra Short Throw Projector Aesthetic Shootout

Back in August ProjectorScreen.com hosted the 2022 Laser TV Showdown together with Projector Central, to evaluate and rank the UST projectors based on their performance. We brought in projector reviewers, certified calibrators and projection experts to independently judge the electronic competitors to award the title of best ultra short throw projector. That winner was the Formovie Theater thanks to its incredible value and picture quality.

However, it’s going to take more than visual performance to win this laser TV beauty pageant.

To help us judge this celebration of electronic’s aesthetics, we brought together a collection of interior designers who each have a plethora of experience with putting together beautiful home theaters and media rooms.

14 contestants were entered from top brands like Epson, Hisense, Samsung and more. Each one showed off their own charming personality and electrifying pizazz.

They evaluated each projector solely based on the design of their body and how it would fit in with a stylized entertainment space. Performance and price did not factor into their decisions.

Admittedly, the swimsuit portion was pretty underwhelming.

The judges rated the look and design of the USTs on a scale of 1-10 and gave their thoughts on the projectors.

So, sit back, relax, and let's take a closer look at the design of these beautiful ultra short throw projectors.

Ultra short throw projectors are an excellent innovation for home theaters and living spaces because they allow so much flexibility in terms of installation and positioning. This adaptability can enable you to create the perfect home theater environment regardless of the size or shape of your room.

However, it is essential to consider the design of the projector before making a purchase, as this can affect how well it fits in with your home's decor and aesthetic. A projector might be flashy and stand out too much for some homes, but it could be perfect for your futuristic, modern theater.

Just make sure to take into account design and aesthetics when making your choice. Consider the styles and features of your entire room to ensure a cohesive space.

No matter which you pick, these projectors will give your home theater experience the perfect finish!
