The Spectra Projection Element Gray is a fixed-frame cinema screen designed for viewers who want deeper blacks, stronger contrast, natural color, and wide viewing angles from a modern projector setup. Its 0.9-gain gray surface enhances image depth, while the anti-speckle PVC material makes it especially well suited for laser projectors. Compatible with both ultra-short-throw and standard-throw projectors, Element Gray is ideal for dedicated or controlled-light home theaters where a clean, immersive image and consistent performance across the seating area matter most.

Speckle-Resistant for Modern Laser Projectors.
Ordinary matte screens amplify the shimmering laser speckle you see on RGB triple-laser projectors. The Element’s custom PVC formulation is engineered to diffuse laser light more uniformly, softening speckle without dulling the picture.
The result: cleaner text, smoother gradients, and less visual fatigue during long viewing sessions — especially at close throw distances where speckle is most obvious.

A 0.9 gain surface reflects light back at close to unity, meaning color, contrast, and black levels arrive at your eye almost exactly as your projector intended — no hot-spotting, no shifted skin tones, no over-cooled whites.

Because the Element uses a diffusive matte surface rather than an angle-dependent lenticular structure, it works equally well whether your projector is inches from the wall or ceiling-mounted across the room. One screen, both setups.
Element Gray is not an ambient light rejecting (ALR) screen. It improves perceived contrast and black levels in dedicated or light-controlled rooms. While it enhances image quality, it is not designed to reject ambient light.
