Projector Screen customer service: Very responsive response from Projector Screen when we had an issue with our projector, thank you for fixing our issue in a timely manner! ForMovie projector: in love with this projector! I want to have it on for the whole day and feel like I’m in a movie theatre because that is exactly how it feels when we are watching tv or a film. The picture is crisp and bright, and the set up is so easy. Cannot say enough good things about our experience so far. We’ve only had it for a month, but so far so good!

This projector is very easy to set up and is crystal clear. I love the fact that you can have this only a few inches from the wall and it portrays a super large screen. You can use a regular projector screen with this or use the special projector paint to paint directly on the wall for the screen. My whole family loves this item!

I will say, I was quite hesitant to get a projection TV because I remember them being terrible. They took SO LONG to heat up and then they wound up being way too bright and washed out. I'm thrilled to report projectors have come a loooonnng way since then, the Formovie is INCREDIBLE. The colors are gorgeous even with ambient light in the room, it only takes a couple of seconds to come on, and the sound quality is absolutely fantastic. I couldn't be happier with this ultra short throw projector.

We have had the Formovie for three weeks. The projector is being used with a 110 inch Vividstorm floor rising screen. It is on the floor since we are waiting for our Vividstorm cabinet to be delivered. The screen is directly in front of a large picture window. There are two side windows in the room. The picture greatly exceeds my expectation. The attached picture of Avatar 2 has all the windows open. It is brighter in the daylight than I had thought it would be. The 4K picture is absolutely amazing. The built in audio system works very well. At times there is definitely a surround sound feeling to it. For movies we use a 20 year old M&K sound system and lower the shades (recently installed from The Shade Store). It feels as if are in a movie theater. Switching between the Yamaha receiver and the internal speakers only takes turning the receiver off. I have not figured out how to start the Formovie without the receiver (connected through eArc) turning on. I use Alexa to turn the receiver off. A few issues. A very simple remote with no backlighting. The remote is Bluetooth only which means we cannot use our Comcast RF remote to turn the Formovie on/off. The volume works through the Comcast remote probably through the HDMI connection. I have installed an Android remote app on my phone in case we misplace the remote. There no Alexa capability built in- only Google. This is really not acceptable. We have to completely power down the Formovie for the Vividstorm power dongle to work correctly. If we put the Formovie in standby the screen will rise and lower sporadically. However by powering down, there does not seem to be a way to automatically start it up on HDMI1 (have to hit the Live TV app that is on the home screen). These complaints are minor since the picture is so good.

Name says Formovie and its totally justified, yes it excellent to watch movies and the immersive experience it provides feels like theatre experience. I paired it with 120 inch Spectra Vantage screen and it’s totally worth the price to watch movie on a decent size screen at home anytime. Its double the size of a 85 inch TV and lot less harmful to eyes as we are not looking directly at the source of light but looking at the reflected light. 4K clarity is a real 4k and not upscaled as lot of other competitors out there and sound system is dolby. Simply stunning at home experience.

After thorough research, I purchased the Formovie projector, and I must say, the quality is truly remarkable. Not only does it deliver excellent sound directly from the projector itself, but when paired with my Q990C soundbar, the audio experience surpasses even that of my TV. The Formovie Theater Projector offers a decent performance for its price point, but it falls short in some areas.

Setting up the projector was relatively easy, although the instructions could have been clearer. Once set up, the picture quality was satisfactory, but not exceptional. While colors were decently vibrant, the contrast ratio left something to be desired, resulting in less-than-impressive blacks and whites.

Brightness was sufficient for darker environments, but struggled to compete with ambient light in well-lit rooms. This limited the projector's usability to certain lighting conditions, which was disappointing.

The built-in speakers provided sound that was adequate for casual viewing, but lacked depth and clarity for a truly immersive experience. External speakers are recommended for a better audio performance.

Overall, the Formovie Theater Projector is a decent option for those on a budget, but it may not meet the expectations of more discerning users. With clearer setup instructions, improved picture quality, and better brightness capabilities, it has the potential to be a stronger contender in the market.

After much deliberation and extensive market research about buying an UST projector, we have finally decided to purchase Formovie Theater and paired it with the Spectra Projection Vantage 120" UST ALR CLR Projector Screen also bought from projectorscreen.com. The picture quality has been remarkable and the colors are truly outstanding. Contrast ratio is really the best out there and it shows. If you have a fairly dark viewing space and brightness is not a concern, this should be the #1 choice. The timing was also great since we re-did our media room to give us a true theater experience. Android TV that comes with the projector isn't that great of an interface. Highly recommend having Apple TV instead.
While we encountered an Overheating sensor error on the original unit that arrived, it was a fairly quick phone call with the Customer service to have that returned and a replacement unit get shipped to us. While it has only been few days since the replacement unit got delivered, it has been such a gamechanger for us in movie-watching experience.

The good - The picture is awesome. Dolby support is great! It's weird to no longer be able to cross in front of the projection - in a good way.
The bad - Android. I want it to go away. I want a projector, not a google home. Just one more thing to fail. If you ever have a cold start, it goes into android. There's no setting to say 'always go to the last port'. Bluetooth remote. Clever, but means 90% of the universal remotes won't work with it. That's just stupid. The CEC seems to erratic for me as well so I have to keep the remote handy to wake it up.
The ugly - Warranty work can lead to a trip to China. Not kidding. I was without my 3 month old projector for 7 weeks. That leads us to...
The awesome - Zac Ringer at projectorscreen.com. His tech support has been outstanding and he got me a replacement projector (Otherwise I think I'd still be waiting). He was on top of it the whole time and kept a great line of communication. If I had it to do over, I'm not sure I'd buy a Formovie again but I would have bought the something else from here.

I recently purchased a Formovie Theater UST and a Spectra Projection Vantage 120” UST ALR CLR Projector Screen from projectorscreen.com. I have been consistently surprised and pleased with the quality of both. I have mine set up in a light controlled room and the picture from this projector with the Spectra vantage screen is fantastic. The picture is very bright and clear. The details are much better than I had expected. This projector paired with a good ALR/CLR screen produces a great result. My family is very happy and has been watching a lot of movies since. I spent a lot of time reading the reviews and watching videos to learn about the projectors and various screens. When I was ready to buy, I decided to buy from projectorscreen.com because they have fantastic reviews for quality and service and I really appreciated all of their media (videos, lengthly and informative reviews of the various products, etc.). We built a dedicated room in our new house for our grandkids. The room is 18’x23’x12’. In the rear of the room, we installed a loft of 5 twin beds for sleepovers. At the front of room, the addition of the Formovie Theater has made this the first room they head to when they come over. We were leaning toward a 100” screen prior to our contact with the knowledgeable people at Projectorscreen.com. After discussion with them, we chose a 120”. The size fits perfect on our 18’ wide, 12’ tall front wall. We built a stand for the projector that has 8” legs. The ultra short throw of the Theater works really well, putting the screen at a perfect height for our low seating choice without protruding out into the room. The picture quality gets many compliments. Many people mistake it for a flat screen LED. We think the Spectra screen that was recommended by your associate has a great deal to do with it. It just looks fantastic, the sharpness, colors, black levels, brightness…..Everything! Looking forward to many years of enjoyment to come for our family.

Great projector, really sharp bright picture. Really easy setup for creating a custom screen size that works. Keystoning guidelines gets you the right picture shape and size. The sounds is as good any soundbar, if not better. My only wish is that it had the Apple TV technology built in vs. the GoogleTV junk, but that’s easily fixed by connecting an AppleTV.

I was nervous to get this based on other reviews talking about focus issues in the top corners. Right when started it up I saw exactly what they were talking about. you couldn't focus the corners no matter how you adjusted the settings. Then after I connected to internet, and did the firmware update. It was fixed!! Sharp focus on the entire image including the corners! Also plenty bright! so happy with my purchase!

I was in two minds on whether to get a LG (HU915QE) vs Formovie Theatre. Brian and David from Projector screen reviewed the room dimensions and lighting and suggested to go Formovie route. I was a little hesitant, since the LG has higher rated lumens. I finally pulled the plug and got the Formovie based on UST shootout results 2023 and I'm not disappointed. This completely changes out family movie nights experience. The image size, vibrance and contrast are excellent even on a grey wall. Dolby Vision is a real game changer for latest movies. Totally Loving it

I am a person that has very high standards when it comes to the quality of what I am watching and listening to. I was wanting to find a UST that would satisfy at least the video portion. Well after looking at dozens of reviews and content I finally decided on the Formovie Theatre. I ordered it bundled with the Spectra Vantage 100” ALR Screen. I found the screen assembly to be very straight forward and got it mounted in a couple of hours. I then went through the set up of the Formovie Theatre. It took a little fine tuning but all I did was get it to fill the screen properly I left all other settings as factory settings. I then found some HDR and Dolby Vision content. The moment I saw it I was completely blown away!!!!! I was expecting it to be good, but this UST left me in awe of both the picture UHD and quality!!!! The colors are bright, vivid and just amazing!!!! This is hands down the best UST I have ever seen. Formovie Theatre, seeing is believing!!!!!

I decided to pair this screen with my Formovie Theatre projector and I am glad I did. I noticed the screen came in well packaged. The screen was easy to set up and mount. The two biggest cons I noticed were that the instructions the screen comes with are a bit incorrect so I just recommend you watch the projectorscreen.com video set up to get an idea how to build the screen properly. The other con was that the mounting anchors that come with the screen are unfortunately not the correct anchors to use for drywall even though they have mentioned they are drywall anchors in the instructions. I was lucky I already had dry wall anchors from Lowes to install the screen however, if you do not have them at home you will need to make a quick stop to the hardware store to pickup some dry wall anchors. Otherwise great screen with easy setup and installation.

I ordered the Spectra Projection Vantage 140" UST ALR CLR to go along with my Epson LS800. I was very impressed with the overall packaging. The instructions were fantastic. It's basically a video that you watch on your smartphone. You can pause, replay, rewind each step and go at your own pace which makes installation super easy. You will definitely need 2 people though and a large wide open room. The installation went smooth but took longer than I thought. You should allocate at least 2 hours. My biggest concern regarding the installation was how to hang it on the wall and get it leveled. To my delight, there are 2 very unique hanging brackets that come with the screen. What makes them unique is the instructions actually tell you exactly where to hang them and there is a small screw on there back which helps level the screen AFTER its on the wall-genius! Once on the wall, I started some initial calibration. I was a little concerned initially knowing that screens over 120" are "fused" together. In certain light, this fusion point can be noticeable. For me, I can definitely see the line when I am up close, but when viewing from a distance, it it not noticeable at all to me. This is in a room with full LED overhead lighting and large open windows (office setting). I am still working to get my picture calibrated just right but that is a projector issue not a screen issue. All in all, happy with the purchase.

First of all projector itself is excellent Clarity. Projecting on to this Vantage screen is totally a game changer, we were projecting on a white wall for few weeks and it was great at night, the moment when screen is hooked to the wall and movie is projected onto a screen, the image quality and clarity is impeccable and it became a giant TV with Dolby vision clarity based on content. I was able to notice minute details and colorful visuals.

Hands down, Its almost unbelievable to achieve this level of picture quality in projector world in 2024. This is no longer a projector, its a 120 inch 4K UHD TV with Dolby vision.

Really happy with the purchase of the 120" ALR CLR projector screen. The screen was shipped within a week of placing the order and everything arrived in excellent condition. The assembly of the screen was straight forward and the light weight made mounting on the wall effortless. Did have a problem with the initial placement of the screen, but a quick adjustment with the bracket placement resolved the problem. The screen is great in a dark room and looks good with the lights on. The picture takes a significant hit when the sun shines considering i have large windows. I don't watch much tv during the day so not a real problem for me. Look forward with many hours enjoying movie night with the family.

This screen does an amazing job blocking light from above. I have it installed in our living room with tons of ambient light and with my 2800 lumen Formovie Theatre I can comfortably watch just about anything in daylight. At night/in the dark (or light controlled room) it just makes the experience even greater! The screen handles darks so well it can confuse you into thinking you have a 120" OLED on your wall! This screen is the perfect balance of an all around screen that can be used in majority of applications to enhance your viewing experience!

Is install even worth talking about? It was simple and straightforward forward. With the help of another person to simple pick it up when needed, I had it done in less than an hour and hung on the wall.

THIS IS HOW EVERYTHING SHOULD BE MADE! 10/10 would recommend.

I did a lot of research on which screen to buy to go along with my LG HP715QW projector. Having come from a Da-Lite Permwall screen and an Epson 5040 standard projector, I had some concerns going to an Ultra Short Throw projector as far as setup and picture quality. In the end, setting up the Spectra Vantage screen and LG HP715QW was just as easy, if not easier, than installing the old setup and the picture is fantastic.

Assembly of the screen is a bit time consuming. It took me just over 3 hours doing it myself. This is partly because I don't really have a "mechanical" mind, so I took my time laying out the pieces and figuring out how everything went together. I like to think I saved time on installation of a standard projector by not having to run cables through the ceiling. My one wish would be to have the part numbers on the frame pieces to make identifying them easier. Buy by methodically using the instruction manual, I was able to get everything together with zero issues and no wrinkles in the screen. Now if my stand for the projector would just get here (the projector is sitting on its box in the photos.

All in all, I couldn't be happier with the screen. Thank you to Projectorscreen.com for the presale advice and making this a pleasurable transaction.

Beyond an extraordinary TV!!

Looking at the installation manual, my first impression was this would be very complicated to set up and align with the projector. For sure it was a tad difficult but once it was ready to go, the experience was beyond ordinary. The picture clarity, even with the light on or the window open is incredible. I never imagined how I used a normal 55' TV for so long. Everything is wonderful to watch and keeps me engrossed for hours and made gaming with my PS5 super awesome with friends and family. Movies and 4k videos feel so much better to watch nowadays. Everyone I met seemed to be awestruck by it. Nothing goes better with my UST projector other than this screen that we installed ourselves. Must buy with this projector else the experience will be incomplete.

I have an interior room with no natural light. It works perfect for the space, excellent contrast, dark levels and brightness. I have it paired with a Formovie UST. Setup instructions were good, but definitely takes a few hours and helpful to have a second person. Recommend buying some toggle bolts to fix to the drywall instead of using the drywall anchors provided with the projector.

This is my first time buying and installing a projector screen. There are a lot of options out there and many reviews on YouTube as well. I appreciate that the team Projectorscreen.com has done a lot of work to help try and explain the differences between the options. Here are my thoughts on pairing this screen with an Epson LS800 Short Throw Projector.

Pros:
-It's definitely fun to have a large 120" screen to watch movies or sports on. It transforms the room that it is in and has a large presence. When paired with a great quality soundbar, it's awesome for movies at night. Especially with older classics.

-I bought the Spectra Projection Vantage because it is reviewed to perform well during the day and we have the projector in a room that has two large windows with a lot of natural light during the day. The Epson LS800 has many calibration features that allow you to find the right settings based on what you are watching for the best color and picture quality.

-The screen construction is great quality and the materials have a nice finish. It looks like a professional home theatre. The mounting hardware is functional.

Cons:
-It does take several hours and two people to assemble and mount the screen if you have not done it before.

-It is expensive. I spent just as much on the screen that I spent on the projector. Between the screen, projector, and soundbar, it becomes a significant investment.

-It can take several minutes to calibrate the projector to specific content each time you watch a movie. During the day the colors are not very vivid and cannot compare to a Samsung QLED 80" TV, which is a fraction of the price.

I got this screen in November, but I got this installed recently, and it is just super. First of all, the support from Projectorscreen.com is amazing. The sales team is great and recommended the right product, didn't oversell expensive items, just the right one for me. On the screen, I'm using this with my Epson LS800 UST project, it works perfect in any light condition. I have tried it in bright and dark light, the ALR is great. I would highly recommend this product. The attached image was my initial setup without any settings, and it just looks great.
