Introducing a revolutionary installation process for porcelain steel skins. The durable skins are made with a self-adhesive backing for easy and fast installation, without the mess and fumes of a contact adhesive. Simply peel the protective sheet from the porcelain steel skin and mount onto the pre-existing board for a brand new surface. High quality porcelain steel skins are crafted from 24-gauge steel with a furnace-fused chalkboard or markerboard surface to provide a writing surface with exceptional writability, erasability and color contrast. To install: (more) 1.Measure the board surface accurately for a clean fit. 2.Thoroughly clean the old surface and test fit the new panel. 3.Spray a solution of alcohol and water on the surface to lubricate, and slow the adhesive. 4.Peel away the protective backing. Align, and apply skins a section at a time. 5.Apply pressure with a roller over the entire surface to ensure proper adhesion. Coverbar for covering seams is powder-coated to allow writing and erasing. Polyfilm coating protects your new surface during shipment. Durable porcelain coated steel also accepts magnets for added versatility.
